ACE International Florida Visits Philippines

Ditas Cadiz, Vice-President of Advocates for Children and Elders (ACE) International
Florida, is en-route to the Philippines to meet with the officers of ACE International
Philippines, and see its operations and programs.
She brings with her a donation of $1,000 to be used for providing basic necessities
for children current held in Philippine prisons. She will also be visiting the prisons to
see its current set up, and will be accompanying ACE International Philippines
President, Dr. Chee Garcia, to witness the Bicameral session that will finally decide
on the provisions of the Comprehensive Juvenile Justice Bill that recently passed
Senate and the Lower House.
The generous donation came from Luxmi S. Cruz Trustee of Arizona, facilitated by
Lila S. Lee, Advisory Board member of NANAY, Inc. Her family runs the Bigfoot
Foundation that has averaged about P 10 million worth of Philippine projects / year
over the last 4 years. Bigfoot Foundation has expressed interest in looking into ACE
International Philippines' projects directed to beneficiaries in Cebu.
Four Pentium III computers, donated by C-NET from San Francisco, were also
shipped to the Philippines, to be given to Family Court judges in order to facilitate the
process of papers for the speedy trial and release of children in prison.
